I was pleased with last weeks effort, walking 16.2 miles. A co-worker walked with me once. that was REALLY nice. I also recorded my intake two days. and drank a good bit of water. I hope everyone is enjoying the summer!

I can't believe this is week 6 already!!! I better get cracking on the food intake. It was TERRIBLE this past week.
My grandson told me Saturday that I was skinny. I asked him yesterday if someone had told him to tell me that & he said no, you really are skinny, almost like me, but not quite. Made my day!!
My daughter was giving me a shoulder/upper back massage & commented on my muscles. That was good, too. Needless to say, I'm going back a.s.a.p.!! LOL. |

I was also pleased with my week. I was visiting family out of town and walked everyday. I even did a spinning class. I can't do spinning regularly now because I found it bothered my knees. But, once in a while is still great. I dropped at least 1 pound. I think I need to get on the ball with that if I'm going to meet my 12 week goal. Only 6 more weeks. Have a great week. |

Hello everyone. Only 33 more days until my first TRI. Ran 2.5 miles this AM with some intervals. Swam 800 meters yesterday. Supposed to rest wednesday but it's hard, I feel like I should be running, biking or swimming everyday. Have a good day.

Well, I am back from Chicago. It was good to see family that I haven't seen for a while, but I just wish it was a happier reason. I was there for a funeral. Over all we had a good visit and made plans to see the family again in a few weeks.
So this week-end is my triathlon... I am ready, I have done this one for that last six years or so. I think it will be fun. Then later that day I have a wedding to go to. I KNOW that will be fun.
Hope all is going well with every one else's training and conditioning..
KEEP MOVING!!!! |

Last week was a very tough week at work for me - but I'm on vacation this week. I just need to remember to get in here and post what I've done. Some days I feel like a yo-yo; I'll do really well for a few days and totally blow it in the next few days. I'm going to strive for "consistency". That's going to be my new motivating word. But "GOOD JOB" to everyone - little by little, right? |

Hi All,
Been away from FJ for several months. I wore myself out this spring with my job working outside, and haven't been taking care of myself. Of course, I gained some weight and hurt my back!
Two things I've learned about myself during the hiatus:
1) I must, must exercise to maintain a decent weight and my health.(Okay, I already knew that, but now I really, really know it.)
2) You are what you eat. Really, really. (I am Wendy('s) Starbucks!)
Please count me in for the remainder of the Challenge. It was Diane's post that got me motivated to jump back in. I was going to play it safe and 'see how it goes' before I entered another Challenge, but why not?--now there are two old Challengers rejoining at the 6-week mark.
Goals: Return to the routine of daily food journaling, aim for walking 20 miles per week, and strength training 3x per week.
What a great motivation, to see some of the familiar names--glad you are still working toward your goals, everyone!

Hi, everyone!
I dropped off the radar (for a bazillion reasons), but I've rejoined FJ and I'm trying to get back in the groove. I hope I can join your enthusiastic group 1/2 way through! Move every day, keep working with the chiropractor on sciatica, and watch what I eat. Hope I'm under 160 by the end of the challenge - or getting close!
If anyone is nearing 50, and needs a fitness buddy, let me know! I could use some direct encouragement and I could give some, too!
Good luck, everyone!

Hey all, Checking in for the end of the week.
I did my Sprint-triathlon this morning... blew out a tire at mile 13 of the bike ride, but still finished! My over all time was 2:07... much slower than I usually do because I had to walk 3 miles with my bike. I'll give a detailed report tomorrow because I'm off to a friends wedding this afternoon.
KEEP MOVING!!!! |
