Hello,
I did my first TRI last year, a women's only sprint. I am doing 2 more this year. My 12 year old wants to do a KIDS Tri (200m swim, 6 mile bike and 1 mile run). Yesterday we went on a 10 mile bike ride and I plan on just having him do a shorter version of my TRI training schedule. I think he needs the structure of training with me but I want this to be fun for him. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Kathylyn |

Awesome Kathylyn! I'd say you train with him to keep him enthused (and get some great mom-son time) plus (!) you can feed of his enthusiasm at achieving his goals (daily and weekly...set 'em, achieve 'em). Then finish your own training to achieve yours. An ideal for sure but perhaps it can be done. The whole idea is F U N for him. F............U...............N, for both of you. |
