Don't know what it is called but I use the one that has been out on the market for awhile (maybe BRAUN). It has the long stem and open end with three blades. The hand held part is wider than the stem and the on/off button rests where your fingers wrap around it. You squeeze and it mixes. It is easy, reliable, cleans up quick and does a great job. You can't "beat" it. I have owned it for probably 15 years and it still works great. |

Not handheld but I just won a bid on Ebay for a Magic Bullet. It was recommended to me for mixing potein shakes. I won the bid for $44 including shipping. |

I like my Back to Basics' Blender Express...about $25-30+s/h, ebay. It mixes in the large, take along glass. Easy cleanup and use. |

I have had the "Magic Bullet" since Christmas. It is great! I use it every day for grinding coffee, but I also use it for mixing smoothies, and other blender type drinks. The best thing is that you make your drink right in the glass that you are going to be drinking from. I highly recomend it!
