Figured the title would peak interests...

What I mean is do different tri-bike brands handle and fit differently? Similar to Italian suits that are more fitted than American made and English suits have vents etc...

I am in the process of finding (and hopefully buying) a tri bike. I have read all the articles and posts regarding geometry and frame builds. Once I read these articles and look online at different brands I often wonder; the specs look good (steeper seattube angle, 6mm bracketdrop, smaller head tube angle, etc), do those specs meet my needs or body build or how I ride?

Can anyone recommend a impartial website or magazine that objectively rates tri-bikes or post their thoughts?

I would love to see something like:

Italian brands: for smaller frame riders who like taking corners at faster speeds

French brands: average sized rider who value stability at high speeds or downhill descents

American brands: durable, larger size riders that is very responsive to rider but not as stable as the (insert brand)...but great for sprints and hills

Thanks for all your help and tri on!

I think that you are right on the money. Different makers will have a different feel to the bike. I have been looking for a site as well, but any comments would still be opinion. Take some time and ride a few different bikes first.

Probably the closest I have found is Bicycle magazine's review of bikes issue that they do once a year on new models.

Good Luck :o)
