Hello,
I'm 9 days away from my first TRI and I have a problem. Everytime I swim my left foot cramps enough to make my toes curl....OW!!! I'm eating bananas and drinking plenty of water. I'm stretching and massaging. I don't want to have to stop and or get out of the pool to stretch it during the TRI. Any suggestions??? This only happens when I swim.
Thanks,

I have the same issue. In the arches - WAHOO that hurts...
I have heard that Hammer (makers of Hammer Gel) also make an elyctrolyte pill as well. My friend swears by them, and I am going to give it a try on my next Tri.
I don't know what your tri's are, but I haven't had any in the pool, and I haven't had any issues on the open water swims. I think pushing off the wall does it to me
Best of luck,

Hello,
Well Friends....I AM A TRIATHLETE!! My goal for my first sprint tri was 1:15-1:30. I finished in 1:14. 3rd in my category and 228 out of 412. I don't know what happened but I panicked in the pool. It wasn't as crowded as it was while I was training but as soon as I put my face in the water I freaked. I ended up breast stroking 1/2 the time but I finally got through it. A volunteer even came up to me and asked if I was OK. I will be swimming alot more to prepare for my next event and hopefully I won't be so anxious. I wasn't anxious before I got in the pool.
