After missing my first 1/2 marathon due to my lower back going out the day before the race and taking two weeks off to heal, Any thought on how much I should start back running? I had gotten up to 11 miles for my long run before my injury and I don't know where to start back and how long should I take to get back to where I was.

I appreciate any collective wisdom from our group.

I'd like to hear more as well. I'm just coming off of a spinal tap that was folled up by two epidural blood patches. I was doing 10k 4x/ week - Doc says wait a full week before any exertion, but my lower back in my lumbar area is still a little bit stiff a week later and I really don't want to risk anything. All suggestions and insight are welcome!

Happy trails,
