Hello!
I think I am the novice on this site (Trial membership)! I am getting back into a workout routine, and am thinking about the 1 hour classes on cycling at the gym. Are they normally set up for any level person to start with? I am in good health, but need to get back into a routine to get fit again. It's at a place I don't normally go, so just asking this as a general question.
Ok - the NEWBIE here!

Linda
Welcome to FJ! Spin classes at the gtm are a great way to get started. The great thing is you can go at your own pace and you get exactly what you put into it. I go 3 time a week in the winter and it's a great way for me to keep my bike legs.
Enjoy

Hey Pat - You never told us about this top secret training...
Linda - Welcome to the site. I started off getting into cycling through spin class. A good friend tought it, and we became a Monday, and Wednesday spin family of friends. Great fun, it is great to be able to go at your kown speed and have a coach who won't let you do less than what you are capable of as well. (That part will some with time.)
Ultimately the class will help you to maintain a high cadence when you get outside and ride.
Let us know how you like it.

Hi Linda, welcome to FJ! I've never tried a spin class either but everyone I've ever talked to about it says the same as these guys...great because it's an 'individual' group activity. I'd love to hear what you think! Beverly |
