Anyone on here recommend any particular supplements/brands for building lean muscle? I'm currently taking Whey protein (switched to Muscle Tech NutraTech a couple of months ago, but going to switch back to IsoTech), BCAA's (Leutor), creatine (Fusion - Purple-K) and a whole host of vitamins/minerals like Omega 3, flax, multi-vitamin etc. Note - not currently taking glutamine as I'm looking to reduce my body fat by a few % - will look to this at a later date.
Appreciate your input!

Why not just adopt a Paleolithic diet? Lots of killer protein and creatine (also a protein) in lean meats and seafood, not to mention Glutamine and BCAA's Lots of vitamins and minerals in organic fruits, vegetables and nuts. Omega-3s in fish and grass-fed beef.
Taking these components out of nature and reassembling them is sort of Dr. Frankenstein in nature isn't it? Of course isolating a muscle by working your triceps on Tuesday and your shoulders on a Wednesday is almost like assembling a creature anyway.
If my words appear too "holy," I just ate a begal with creme cheese so I can't be too proud!
Good Luck! |

I use Advocare muscle gain and catalyst.
Catalyst is branch chain amino acids designed for USA Wrestling. Muscle gain is predigested protien.
Check the website and find someone fairly local who you can buy from.
These products are tested by a thrid party for any banned substances...

Victoria,
Cordain is the best. I only know of two books and I would get them both. The second book is written with Joel Friel and is geared toward endurance athletes and probably not needed in my opinion. It's a worthwhile read though.
I cheat with MRPs and milk because it's an ultimate meal for a person that gets zero lunch break. I would strongly hope to eat sardines or salmon plus broccoli or brussel sprouts but my job won't allow it. |
