Weight Training Module lacking.
Should be able to pick a kift from a list create you own item if not on the list. Enter reps, weight, and notes about each set. Also the ability to graph strength and rep improvments. |

I agree. The only thing that makes me want to change out of Fitness Journal to other software is its lack of tracking for weight lifting. There really should be a weight training module and it should be treated differently then just a regular workout, and accomadate sets, reps, and graphing... |

I totally agree. it is about the only thing lacking here. don't leave just yet, chris has been very good about working on ideas like this when requested, give him a little time and maybe send a message to him |

Chris,
You may want to consider some the comments posted here. The weight training module is too general and needs to set up differently.
Thanks,
Ron |

Hey Ron - These posts are before the strength training launch. Have you checked that out instead of logging weight training in workout journal?
See the dumbbell below... "Strength"

I am not very good at using it (In that I am not sure if I do it right.)
After a workout, I click the dumbbell, then I click on "plan a workout", I enter what I already did as planned, and I name it by the date. Then I go to "log a workout" - not sure if I am using the right names - what somes up was my planned workout, then I just update and save it. It estimates the time.
For me the time is usually over what I spent, becuase I often do not rest between reps, I do two body parts at once, and jump back and forth.
Ron - Let me know what you think, or if you find a more efficient way to enter the data.
Thanks,
Jim |
