I just received a message from CTV that FitnessJournal will be featured on the Canada AM program on Monday, during the health and fitness segment. Canada AM is considered Canada's most watched morning show. All of our canadian members may want to tune in and let us know how it goes! I've been told it will run on Monday March 19th. Canada AM runs from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM ET

For schedule information for your area, or more info about CTV, you can visit their website:

Shouldn't they been featuring FJ on the 27th so my smiling face can appear on the calendar? I'm just saying...those northern girls love us southern boys!!! =)

Seriously though...that is TERRIFIC!!!

Hey maybe they can fly all the members to the studio so they can see just how popular the site is. Congratulations Chris! Do you think you will have FJ apparel to wear on camera?

Congrats, Chris! Perhaps one of our Canadian FJ-ers could tape it and upload it some how? Then we all could see it!!!

I agree w/Bob...I'd sport a FJ shirt :) Think we talked about this last summer because CB wanted any color but baby blue? :) 'Course, rather than a 't-shirt' we could do one in a great wicking material to wear at events! Here's a post from a guy named Chris Watson from 15.3 months ago....."Hi John, fj t-shirts, mugs, stickers, etc will be available online as part of a new online store in the support section. I'll make an announcement when store is available! Glad to hear there is some interest there!"

Beverly has a great idea of uploading a taped version...maybe via youtube or something and someone could just post the link to it!

Great ideas, great support, excellent community.

Greg

Thanks for letting us know, Chris. I was going to tape it on VHS for my own personal use, but my fiance has something set up in the basement where he can tape in a digitized format, or something. Maybe I can talk to him about it so that I can then "broadcast" it for FJers.

K. So I taped it but it's not really worth uploading to Youtube. Basically, what the show was about (or that segment anyway) was two analysts who were comparing and choosing their three favourite sites on the web for fitness and health, including food journalling. The two top-rated favourites for both analysts (and the only two that got 4 out of possible 5 stars) were Fitness Journal and Sparkpeople.com. They even showed some of the screens on Fitness Journal. One of the analysts mentioned that it was worth the money to pay for FJ since it wasn't too extravagant. All of the other recommended sites were free. WTG Chris on getting great publicity just by doing a great job. This was an independent analysis and FJ came out as one of the top two, just because it is what it is.

You goofs. Actually, no site got 5 stars. Guess they were stingy. So FJ and sparkpeople.com tied in top place. Guess I should have clarified that.
