I'm new to FJ so I may simply be missing something I will come across soon enough but is there a way to enter "custom recipes", similar to the way you'd add custom foods? For instance, if I have a favorite salad that includes a number of different items, is there a way of adding those all together and relying on FJ to tally the total nutritional info for the entire recipe? (A function such as this exists on My Food Diary and was hoping to find it here too:) Otherwise, I'd be adding each individual ingredient of a recipe to my food list...which could get tedious. |

Alison, I proposed the same a while back, but alas no. There is no way to tally a receipe. I go to Nutritiondata.com and build my receipe and then manually enter it into FJ. |

Alison, thanks for this post...I just joined FJ yesterday and already was wondering the same thing. I will try the suggestion to build the recipe at the other site to determine the values (until FJ enhances this section). Otherwise, it's crazy to enter each item in your recipe, and then select each ingredient every time you have that recipe. |

I just joined FJ as well and I really think we should try to find a way to post recipes on the site. I would be very interested in that since I am in college and will soon have my own house, I would like to have some good healthy recipes to cook! |
