    Topic: How about macronutirent percentages?

I'd love to see percentages for carbs, fats, and protein on the summary page for the Food Journal. That is, once you've made an entry, and saved it, you get a page with the totals for carbs, fat, and protein for that day. Can we have it provide percentages next to the totals for each? Would anyone else find this useful? Or am I the only one who is mathmatically challenged to this extent.

Thanks,

-Steve

Hi Steve,

I also would like percentages displayed somewhere. The percentage is more important info for me. I weight train more in the winter and require a higher percentage of protein. In the spring and summer when I'm tri training, I require a much higher percentage of carbs.

I'd definitely find this useful as well. I do keep forgetting however what the relative percentage mix between carbs, fat and protein should be. I know it varies at the margins for everybody but can anybody tell me broadly what it should be for the average person who is doing some, but not ridiculous amounts of, exercise? Thanks.

I agree with this request. I would also like to set my own goals for the percentages. For example, I would like to tell the program that I want 25% fats, 25% proteins and 50% carbs. After setting the percentages the program would use the normal color coding to let me know if I am reaching my goals.

I would also like to see percentages per day for proteins, carbs and fats. I am trying to follow a BFFM type eating program and it is really helpful to see it laid out. I was using fit day because it provides that feature and lets me set the %'s for each of those macronutrients. When you exceed the percentage you have selected it changes color. I'd love that feature here, because I've started using this site for my food diary now that you've made the food journal so user friendly.

I also second thrid forth this. Something like that. I too am following the BFFM system for trying to slim down and reduce my fat percentage. Also if possible could we then have reports so that we could see those same percentages over time.

Thanks
