Hi Heidi toni here, you have been where I have been and still trying to get there. Half the time on these programs I don't know what to eat, and I get tired of eating the same thing. I do drink a lot of water and some times I don't feel like eating. I always seem to go back to ww, which is the best of all the programs, but at times that gets boring to me also. I think I am going to do it may way and and see what works for me. I am into exercising, but I do need to be more comitted. I am going to challenge myself to a 12 week program starting this Sunday, to see how much I can loose. At this time I am 212.1 and my goal is 135lbs. My weight in will be every Sunday and I will post my weight loss then. If I fall off I need all the help and encouragement I can get. So check in every Sunday to see my post. tj

Count me in too...I need all the help I can get! I'm 28, ah, I might as well say 29 since my bday is too close for comfort, mother of two young girls (3 1/2 & 14 months) I work full time and have plenty of "extra curricular" activities. So the hardest part for me of losing weight is making the committment to get up early in the morning to workout (otherwise there's no time) and sticking to a healthy diet on the crazy crazy days. I am around 160lbs right now (I think, it was 162 last weigh in) and would like to be around 145-150, since I'm only 5'5" I feel that is a healthy goal. It doesn't seem like that many pounds but it's so hard! I've been working on this- on & off- since my youngest was born! But I am determined to do it now!

So are you all just posting your progress here each week or are you literally partnering up?

Kendra

Hi Michelle--Wow, six hours a week is pretty good for exercise! It sounds fun to just mix it up with the classes all the time.

You said "I try to get a least 6 hours of somekind of activity a week. I belong to a gym that has tons of workout classes, so I just pick one that fits my mood....yoga, spinning, wieght lifting, etc. Sometimes I feel like that is not enough because my weight is not coming off. Any suggestions?"

One thing I found for me, that as much as I enjoy my pilates/yoga classes, the work outs that really get me burning calories are the aerobic ones. Right now my goal is to do an aerobic workout (for me its running or this video i have called "Fat Elliminator") five days a week with two days of weight training. I've been somewhat consistent with it for the past two weeks or so and I can tell my pants are fitting looser, although I haven't weighed myself yet. I figure once I get the weight off and am maintaing, then I can include the yoga and pilates again. So maybe if you focused on mostly aerobic & some strength training for a while it might boost you over your plateau (I cant spell that word!)? Just a suggestion. Oh and when I find myself stalled or feeling big, I log my food religiously for a week and see if I've gotten off track, because we all know if we're taking in too many calories, the ones we burn won't help in the weight loss battle.

Kendra :)
