During the month of July, the Fitness Journal mobile will be taking a round the United States tour that will cover 25 states and over 6,000 miles. During the trip I will be posting regular updates on our adventures from the road for everyone to read and enjoy. It should be quite a trip and there is a good chance we will meet up with some fitness journal membes along the way.
The FJ Mobile has been modified to create a true mobile office. From the broadband cell modem that creates a traveling wireless hot spot, to the solar panels on the roof that provide enough juice to power computers and electronics, the FJ mobile is packed with technology and ready for the 2007 road tour.
Bikes, rock climbing gear, wet suits, running shoes, back packs and hiking boots (oh and lets not forget the margarita machine) are all packed away and ready to travel. Stay tuned and look out America, starting July 1st, Fitness Journal will be hitting the road!

Ahhhh, Let's not forget the cold beer in the slide out ice chest Chris...
But this time, make sure it is locked. We don't want a bunch of pedestrians pilaging the cooler after it pops out on a left hander and lands in the middle of the road.
If this sounds like experience speaking, it is!!!

Have you posted the map, and I'm not finding it. Really excited to see if you'll go through Minnesota. |

The FJ Mobile has left it's port, or garage.
Through Sacramento today and currently in the Crystal Lakes Basin of California. Last I heard Chris was making some final changes to the map. It may be posted on the home site, or your home site after logging in.
The family is in tow. The plan is for Chris and his wife to ride parts of America while the other one provides SAG support.
