This question may be very basic, but I'm curious...

When you use an elliptical, are you supposed to keep your feet flat? Or should you lift your heels each time you push forward? I'm not sure which is the proper way to work out on this machine. I try both, and keeping the feet flat seems to be the more exhausting workout :)

Any answers, or input would be great! Thanks.

I read a great article the other day saying feet should stay flat and the upper body absolutely still- no bounce. I tried this and it was much more difficult!

Ohh thanks. This totally changes the way I will do my workouts from now on! I'm sure I will see better results this way too!
