In another 5 days it will have been a month since the marathon. I know it takes a while to recover and get back to my pre training schedule. It has been a struggle and I don't know if and when to push myself. I don't know where the line is between my legs saying "woooo daddy, you better slow down" and them saying "I don't waaaaaaat tooooo". One being fatigue and the other laziness.

Any thought from you experienced marathoners???

First marathon is tough to recover from. Give your body all the time it needs. Cross training may help. What I can say is that after you have a couple marathons under your belt, not only do your coronary arteries thank you, but your legs do too!!! Recovery becomes much easier!
