Kiki,
After I had my heart attack I could barely make it a quarter of the way down our street. Now I have run 13.1 on a treadmill and 10.5 outdoors in the real world. Got to give all the credit to the Lord. Along the way I would get on a treadmill and start 3.5 mph and every 5 minutes go up a degree on the slope. When I got to the max on the treadmill I bumped it up to 4.0 mph and then come down a degree every minute. After I got on the flat I would gradually slow down.
Wish you much success.
