Hello everyone,
I recently rode quite a few miles for over 3 hours at fast speed and on a hilly course. (Hawaii 70.3)
When I got off the bike I felt a lot of pain on the outside part of both feet.
A)My shoes fit perfectly and they are not tight.
B)I hydrated well.
C)I have flat feet but it has never been an issue. (Never felt such pain before)
D)I had some cramping on my legs but I do not think it affected my pedaling.
Any ideas?
Have you tried sole inserts on cycling shoes?
Thank you,
Alex |

I have Specialized inserts for my cycling shoes and like them. They helped to make the shoes fit perfect. I can't run or walk without my orthotics or some type of insert so figured I would need them for cycling as well. I don't remember the Specialized as being that expensive and think they will last as long as I have the shoes. |

Hi there,
I've experienced the same thing.....it was cured by adjusting my cleats (over time they had moved). Hopefully, in your case its something as simple to fix.
Cheers,
Gerry

Thank you for the tips.
I did get a couple of inserts to try out. (soft and hard)
With the soft ones I did not feel much different than what originally came with the shoes.
With the hard ones I can feel a direct push to the pedal with the whole foot rather than just the outside part of the foot.
I will check the cleats alignment tomorrow.
Thank you and happy riding!!! |
