Hey Jen - Happens to everyone. Sounds like you have the right idea of trying to do some low impact, light exercising. Sometimes you need to just take a break and get better. Try having soups, I find them very comforting when I am sick and healthy (No cream of ...). Depending on what you mean by "comfort foods", this may lengthen your recovery time. Soup is the key, I agree, chicken stock with lots of garlic and herbs, a few veggies, no noodles seems to help a lot. Also, if you have access to a sauna or steam room, that really helps move the bug through your system faster.
Remember to not push yourself to hard, the bug needs to run is course. Keep your spirits up, it will pass! |

And, listen to Dr. Mom: drink plenty of fluids and take your vitamin c (a multi too). Hot herbal tea w/fresh lemon and honey are good too. Don't let the bummed and frustrated win out! You will get through this, m'dear! |
