Crunchy Granola
A great breakfast, or snack. Everyone loves granola. Here is a great version you can make on your own kitchen
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 3/4 cup honey
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla
- 5 1/2 Tablespoons Powdered Milk
- 2 Tablespoons Brewer's (nutritional) Yeast
- 1 cup wheat germ
- 1 1/4 cup seasame seeds
- 1/2 cup coconut
- 1 cup rolled wheat*
- 7 cups rolled oats
* if you can't find wheat, use 8 cups oats
Instructions:
In a large saucepan, heat together oil, honey, & vanilla until the mixture is very thin. Stir in remaining ingredients, in order given, coating each one with honey mixture. Make sure to add in oats one cup at a time.
Put all cereal in 9" X 13" pan & place in a cold oven. Turn heat on to 350 degrees and watch for browning to begin (about 1/2 hour) Stire in browned parts then check every 5-10 minutes, stirring to scrape bottom & sides of pan. Continue cooking until all cereal is golden brown. Enjoy!
